Jessica McCurdy is an experienced leader in effective altruism and community engagement, currently serving as the Head of Groups at the Centre for Effective Altruism since June 2021. In this role, Jessica manages various subteams that support over 300 university and city/national EA groups globally. Previous positions include University Group Team Lead and Groups Associate, where Jessica was instrumental in developing scalable support systems for university EA groups. Prior experience encompasses roles at Yale Effective Altruism as Co-President, operations research intern at Rethink Priorities, software engineering internships at Facebook, and teaching assistance in computer science. Jessica holds a degree from Yale University and completed the International Baccalaureate program at Vanguard High School.
