Jonathan Klooster

Jonathan (Jono) Klooster is an experienced professional in economic development and project management, currently serving as the Development Services Manager at The Christman Company since September 2024. Previously, Jonathan held various positions at the City of Grand Rapids from 2010 to 2024, including Executive Director of the Grand Rapids Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and Acting Economic Development Director. Jonathan possesses extensive knowledge of Michigan's Brownfield Redevelopment Finance Act and the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, focusing on facilitating projects for new and expanding businesses. Earlier in their career, Jonathan interned in the Office of Energy and Sustainability for the City of Grand Rapids and worked as a carpenter with Midtown Craftsmen. Jonathan earned a Master of Public Administration from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Calvin University.
