Billy-Jo O'Leary

Billy-Jo O'Leary has extensive experience in child welfare and community support. Currently serving as a member of the House of Laity in the General Synod for the Church of England since November 2021, Billy-Jo advocates for diverse voices and supports vulnerable children and young people. As the London and South East of England Regional Lead for Home for Good since June 2017, Billy-Jo collaborates with Church and Faith communities to address the needs of children in care and encourages community involvement in providing homes for these children. Previously, from January 2008 to April 2017, Billy-Jo operated a successful childminding business, achieving an Outstanding grade in an unannounced inspection in 2014. Additionally, Billy-Jo holds a commendation in Foundation in Christian Ministry and was a licensed lay minister from 2014 to 2018.
