Matt Murray

Matt Murray is an experienced professional currently serving as the People Capability Lead at both Sport New Zealand and High Performance Sport New Zealand since January 2022. Prior to this, Matt held various positions at Seminaries and Institutes of Religion from May 2017 to January 2022, managing key portfolios across Australasia and the Pacific while focusing on people management issues. Matt was also involved with the Deseret Benefit Plan New Zealand as a Trustee from 2009 to 2022, and worked in multiple capacities for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from July 2003 to May 2017, including roles in human resources and creative production for social media. Matt holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, and Psychology from The University of Waikato, as well as a Certificate in Computing for Professionals from Auckland Community College.
