Gabriela Villanueva

Gabriela Villanueva has extensive experience in government and public affairs, currently serving as a Government & External Affairs Analyst at Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc. since October 2014, with previous roles as Public Affairs Analyst and Public Affairs Coordinator. Prior to this, Gabriela managed the Covered California Project at St. Francis Medical Center, focusing on community education and outreach from July 2013 to September 2014. Gabriela also worked as a Legislative Aide for the California State Assembly from November 2010 to January 2013, specializing in policy research, analysis, and legislative liaison with an emphasis on health and education, public safety, and local government. Early career experience includes serving as an Administrative Assistant II at USC School of Pharmacy from April 2004 to July 2010. Gabriela holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Comparative Literary Studies from Occidental College and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from East Los Angeles Community College.
