Gary Ryan

Gary Ryan, ThM, is a seasoned educator and advocate with extensive experience in diverse roles. Currently serving as a Special Teacher at The Dalton School since September 2023, Gary has previously held positions such as Sr. Writer at ADX Labs, Inc., and Special Teacher at Brooklyn Friends School from 2004 to 2017. Gary also worked as a Human Rights Advocate at the United Nations from 2005 to 2008, providing consultancy and advocacy focused on vulnerable populations. Additionally, Gary served as Chief Resident Chaplain and Staff Chaplain at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital from 1993 to 1996. In earlier years, Gary worked as a correspondent for various notable publications, including the Associated Press and Forbes.com, showcasing strong writing and multimedia skills. Educational credentials include a Master of Theology from Harvard Divinity School and a Master of Arts in Philosophy and Religious Studies from the University of Mississippi.
