John Qiang Su

John Qiang Su is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the insurance and finance sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at The Demex Group since September 2024, John previously held the position of Head of Product Development at Arbol, a leader in climate risk management, from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, John was Managing Director at Pedogenesis Fund Management (2018-2021) and CEO at HNA Tech Investments (2016-2018). Additional roles include COO at HNA Capital International, Director of Finance at American Express, and Vice President of Product Development and Strategy at Swiss Re Financial Services. John began a career as a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Verisk. John earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science from Tsinghua University.
