Lee Byrne is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in health and aged care. Currently serving as Director of the Aged Care Communication and Change Branch at the Australian Department of Health since August 2020, Lee has held multiple roles within this organization, including Assistant Director and Communications and Engagement Manager for the Victorian Aged Care Response Centre. Previous experience includes serving as Communications Manager at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre and various roles at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and The Institute of Cancer Research. Lee has also contributed to IABC Victoria as Membership Chair. Educational qualifications include a Master of Communication from Deakin University, a Diploma in Project Management from Swinburne University, and a Graduate Diploma of Journalism from the University of Southern Queensland, along with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Australia.
