Rick Lichtenfels is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security since April 2005. As the Cyber Hygiene Portfolio Lead for CISA's Vulnerability Management Assessments, Rick oversees critical services such as vulnerability scanning and phishing campaign awareness for various governmental and private sector organizations. Previous roles include Deputy Director at the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, where Rick managed budget requests and financial portfolios, and Deputy Director of the Control Systems Security Program, where Rick established the Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team and advanced cybersecurity tools. Earlier in Rick's career, significant contributions were made at Booz Allen Hamilton, leading the Internet Analysis capability, and at GTE Government Systems as a Network Engineer. Rick holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
