Michalis Sotiropoulos

Michalis Sotiropoulos is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in government relations and policy within the financial sector. Currently serving as Executive Director and Head of Government Relations for Europe at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) since April 2023, Michalis has also been a member of the Consultative Working Group of the CCP Policy Committee at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) since July 2021. Previous roles include Director and Head of the Brussels Office for Government Relations at DTCC, a consultant at APCO Worldwide, and an advisor in the Cabinet of Stavros Dimas at the European Commission. Academic qualifications include executive education at Yale School of Management, a program focused on Global Political Risk at NYU Stern School of Business, and a Master's degree in Globalisation and Development from the University of Warwick.
