Ari Afsar is a multifaceted artist and advocate with extensive experience in promoting voter engagement and social justice through various organizations. Currently serving as Co-Chair Desi President Artist Ambassador at Indian American Impact and as a Democracy Fellow at HeadCount Org, Ari also holds the position of Co-Chair Artist Ambassador at the New York Civil Liberties Union and is a Board Member at the Desai Foundation. Previous roles include Artivism Fellow at Broadway Advocacy Coalition, where Ari taught community-based theater classes, and Teaching Artist at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Afsar's artistic contributions include co-composing the song "Carried Away" for Sony Pictures and performing as a lead in Netflix's "Wedding Season." Afsar is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, with a Bachelor of Arts in Musicology and Ethnomusicology from UCLA.
