Vanessa Roy is currently the Deputy Chief of Party-Analysis at The Famine Early Warning Systems Network. Prior to this, they worked as a Research and Advocacy Assistant at the International Rescue Committee, where they were responsible for creating projections based on risk modeling and econometrics for IRC's strategy and advocacy publications. Vanessa also co-authored and edited a publication on the Central African Republic, contributing statistical analyses. Vanessa has also worked as a Consultant for Iraqi Strategy at International Advisory, Products and Systems (i-APS), conducting an environmental scan and situational report on the IDP and refugee situation in Iraq for the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and Partner National Societies. Vanessa also developed a gap analysis and crafted solutions for humanitarian access to displaced populations in Iraq for IRCS use. Vanessa's experience also includes working as a Practicum Student at the Human Rights Clinic Practicum, where they provided support to clients on a variety of human rights issues.
