Phillip Marcus Jr. currently serves as the Inclusion Strategy for Technology, Communications, and Risk at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York since November 2022. In addition, Phillip has been an Adjunct Professor at Hunter College since 2017 and previously held the role of Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Wellness at Chappaqua Central School District from November 2020 to November 2022. Phillip also has extensive experience in the NYC Department of Education, where positions included Assistant Principal of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership Development, as well as Teacher Development Coach, from September 2009 to November 2020. Phillip's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Wesleyan University, multiple Master of Education degrees from Hunter College, studies at the School for International Training in South Africa, and further education at Bank Street College of Education.
