A lawyer and nonprofit executive leader, Jennifer Weiss-Wolf (she/her) has worked for more than a decade at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU Law, where she currently serves as its inaugural Women and Democracy Fellow. In 2022, she joined Ms. magazine as its executive director for strategy and partnerships. A fierce advocate for issues of gender and politics, Newsweek dubbed her the “architect of the U.S. campaign to squash the tampon tax.” Her debut nonfiction book, Periods Gone Public: Taking a Stand for Menstrual Equity (Arcade, 2017) was lauded by Gloria Steinem as “the beginning of liberation for us all.” She also contributed to the YA anthology Period: Twelve Voices Tell the Bloody Truth (Macmillan, 2018). Her next book will be on the politics of menopause (NYU Press). Her writing and work have been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Teen Vogue, NPR, NBC, CBS, and NowThis, among others.
