Makiko Takayama has extensive experience in donor relations, fundraising strategy, and corporate communication across various sectors. Currently serving as a Donor Relations Specialist at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Makiko developed resource mobilization strategies that raised over US$ 3 billion for key donors in the Asia Pacific region. Previous roles included Vice President at Morgan Stanley, where advisory work focused on Japanese corporate clients, and various leadership positions at Sony, including Director of Investor Relations. Additionally, Makiko has experience in documentary production and research coordination, having worked with Nihon Hoso Kyokai and Fuji Television. Academic qualifications include an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and ongoing executive education at the Geneva Graduate Institute and Harvard Business School.
