Silvio Martinelli

Silvio Martinelli possesses extensive experience in international development and health, currently serving as the Head of the Access to Funding Department at The Global Fund since July 2007, with previous roles including Regional Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean and Fund Portfolio Manager. Prior to this, Martinelli worked as an M&E Adviser at UNAIDS and held a coordinator position at UNDP's Regional Linking Office. Martinelli's career also includes consultancy for various non-profit organizations and national program officer roles within Service Civil International. Academic credentials include an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Jyväskylä, a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Tampere, and a diploma in Accounting and Computer Programming from Istituto Tecnico Commerciale 'Aldo Moro'.
