Tom Chapman is an experienced professional in environmental sustainability and impact evaluation, currently serving as an ESG Consultant at The Good Food Institute since March 2022, where contributions include co-authoring the first ESG framework for the Alternative Protein industry. Since October 2021, Tom has also been a Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Expert at Wasafiri, leading the impact evaluation for UBS’ Global Innovators programme. In addition, Tom serves as the Head of Food Systems Impact at Sentient Ventures VC, focusing on innovations to eliminate farmed animals from food production. Previous roles include managing significant UKaid-funded programs in Africa with Tetra Tech Europe and Adam Smith International, where Tom oversaw multi-million-pound initiatives in sectors like renewable energy and agriculture. Tom holds an MSc in Development Studies from The School of Oriental and African Studies and a BA in Human Geography from the University of Leicester.
