Julie Gutowski

Julie Gutowski has extensive experience in compliance and operations within the insurance industry, currently serving as the Chief Compliance Officer for Group Benefits at The Hartford since 2005. With a history at The Hartford dating back to 1996, Julie has held various leadership roles including AVP for Product Development and Support, AVP for Regulatory Compliance, and RVP for Group Reinsurance Plus Claims. Key achievements include transforming organizational performance, leading compliance initiatives, and redesigning the Workers’ Compensation business model. Julie began their legal career as an Associate at Nixon Peabody and Bacon & Wilson after earning a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and a BBA from Penn State University.
