Michael Queen

Mr. Queen joined TAQA as a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Committee in November 2017. He has over thirty-five years of international experience, serving as the Chief Executive of 3i Group plc, a global investment company, where over the course of twenty-five years he developed 3i’s activities in the infrastructure sector. In 1994 he was seconded to HM Treasury to help develop the potential for the Private Finance Initiative in the NHS as Head of the NHS Private Finance Unit. Between 2010 and 2012 he was a member of the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Group.

Mr. Queen holds a bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University in the United Kingdom and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA).

Additionally, Mr. Queen is Chairman of the University of Surrey and serves on the Board of Directors of various companies and organizations in the United Kingdom, including Coller Capital Limited, CK Graduate School of Business, and Tideway Plc, among others.
