Nance Adler is an experienced educator and Jewish studies specialist currently serving as the Mashgiah Ruhani at The Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle since September 2005, where responsibilities include teaching Jewish values and promoting the mission of creating engaged Jewish Upstanders. In addition to middle school Judaics, Nance has held various roles in educational organizations, including Teaching Ambassador for The Defiant Requiem Foundation, Museum Teaching Fellow at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and Powell Fellow at the Holocaust Center for Humanity. Nance also engages in private tutoring and officiates B'nei Mitzvah ceremonies for students with learning challenges, strives to enhance Jewish learning through innovative curricula, and has presented extensively on Jewish topics in various settings. Nance holds an MA in Interdisciplinary Jewish Studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary and a BA in European History/Russian Studies from Randolph Macon Woman’s College, along with diverse additional educational experiences at prestigious institutions.
