Gary Burris is a seasoned professional in healthcare administration with extensive experience in organ, eye, and tissue donation management. Currently serving as a Field Representative - Hospital Surveyor for the Joint Commission since May 2016, Gary previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer at LifeShare of the Carolinas from 1990 to April 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing operations for 40 hospitals and one transplant center across 22 counties in North Carolina. Gary's academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Wingate University, completed between 2012 and 2014, and participation in the Global Leadership Symposium in Del Mar, California in 2012.
