Carol was appointed as a Trustee in Dec 2016. She is Director of the Glasgow Centre for Population Health and Chief Social Policy Adviser to Scottish Government.
Carol Tannahill is Director of the Glasgow Centre for Population Health, and has over twenty years’ experience of contributing to public health policy and strategy developments in international, national and local contexts. Throughout her career, Carol has been committed to strengthening the research base to inform public health policy, and building the connections between research, policy and practice.
In April 2014, she took up the role of Chief Social Policy Adviser with the Scottish Government on a part-time secondment, working on the Government’s approaches to supporting communities and tackling deep-rooted inequalities. She also holds Honorary Professorial appointments at the University of Glasgow and Glasgow Caledonian University.
