Kurell A. Sheridan, JD, currently serves as the Executive Director of The Legislature of the Virgin Islands, a position held since January 2021. Prior experience includes serving as the Strategy and Organizational Development Officer at the USVI Division of Personnel, where Kurell led initiatives that affected all branches of the government and managed a team impacting over 10,000 employees. Kurell also held the roles of Equal Employment Opportunity Administrator and Policy Analyst within the same Division, contributing strategic HR support for numerous central and semi-autonomous government agencies. Notably, Kurell managed the GVI Health Wellness Program, achieving a 93% compliance rate in health assessments, the highest within a high-risk group. Additional experience includes leadership roles within both Target, as Executive Team Lead for Human Resources, and Macy's, where Kurell progressed from an HR Assistant to a regional recruitment coordinator. Kurell earned a Juris Doctor from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management from UNLV Lee Business School.
