Kevin Carmichael

Kevin Carmichael is an accomplished economist and journalist with a robust career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as an Economics Columnist and Editor-at-Large at The Logic since October 2023, Kevin previously held prominent positions at the Financial Post as Editor In Chief and National Business Columnist from January 2018 to October 2023. A Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation from October 2014 to November 2021, Kevin also contributed freelance pieces to Maclean's and Canadian Business. Earlier in the career, Kevin reported for The Globe and Mail as an Economics Correspondent and National Business Correspondent, and worked at Bloomberg LP as a Treasury Reporter. The journalism journey began at The Canadian Press as a reporter. Kevin holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Carleton University, obtained between 1992 and 1996.
