Rick Marshall

Rick Marshall serves as General Counsel at The Mechanical Licensing Collective since August 2021, previously holding the role of Assistant General Counsel - DSP Relations at Warner Music Group from August 2017 to August 2021. Rick has experience in academia as an Adjunct Professor of Copyright Law at Belmont University from January 2017 to December 2019. Prior to these roles, Rick was an Attorney/Consultant specializing in Copyright, Trademark, and Content Licensing in private practice and served as an Attorney/Advisor at the U.S. Copyright Office. Additionally, Rick worked as a Senior Staff Attorney in the Chief Judge's Chambers at the Florida First District Court of Appeal. Academically, Rick Marshall holds a Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law, a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property Law from The George Washington University Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
