Ana Claudia Chacin is an experienced journalist currently serving as an Investigative Reporter and Data Reporter for Miami Herald since September 2021 and as a Reporter for El Nuevo Herald since October 2019. Chacin specializes in general assignment reporting with a strong focus on data analysis and investigative stories. Prior experiences include an internship at The Washington Post, where efforts were directed towards a national project on police pursuits, and various roles, including tutoring and administrative assistance at Beck College Prep and the University of Miami. Chacin holds a Master’s degree in Investigative Journalism from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies, Latin American Studies, and Journalism from the University of Miami. Additional educational experiences include studies at The American University of Paris and Universidad de Belgrano, with secondary education completed at Coral Gables Senior High School under the International Baccalaureate program.
