Andrew Bassett

Andrew Bassett has extensive experience in outdoor education and curriculum development, currently serving as the Associate Director of Education & Curriculum at The Mountaineers since October 2017, where oversight of youth education programs and adult education curriculum design is a primary focus. Prior roles include Youth Education Manager at The Mountaineers and Senior Field Instructor at the National Outdoor Leadership School, accumulating over 75 weeks of field experience across multiple states. Andrew has also held positions as University Relations Officer for NOLS, Coordinator of Outdoor Education at Northern Arizona University, and Director at Lees-McRae College, where a new outdoor education program was developed and managed. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Appalachian State University, along with completion of the Rocky Mountain Instructor Course from NOLS.
