Christopher von Achen

Christopher Von Achen is a dedicated professional with a strong background in sustainability and food safety. As a Gardener at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley since September 2021, Christopher plans and coordinates educational programming to enhance community engagement and oversees the maintenance of gardens and trails for aesthetic and accessibility improvements. Prior experience includes serving as a Food Safety Consultant at Food Ready LLC and as an Extension Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where Christopher developed curricula and authored support documents on food safety. Additional roles in research, writing, and agricultural support further demonstrate a commitment to sustainable practices and community education.
