Dirk Willem Postma

Dirk Willem Postma is an experienced professional currently serving as Programmaleider and MT-lid at the Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau since August 2022, leading the research program focused on representation and trust in governmental institutions. Concurrently, Postma holds the position of Independent Chair of the Advisory Board for Zorgbelang Groningen and serves on the boards of GroenLinks-afdeling Noordenveld and Stichting Ondersteuning van Mensen met een beperking (SOM), providing strategic advice and support for various community initiatives. Previously, Postma was the Programmaleider at Fries Sociaal Planbureau, Lector Welzijn Nieuwe Stijl at NHL Stenden Hogeschool, and held academic positions at Hogeschool Utrecht and Hogeschool van Amsterdam. With a strong educational background, including a PhD in Philosophy of Education, Postma has conducted extensive research on community development, social inclusion, and the ethical dimensions of environmental education.
