Ira H. Fuchs

Ira Fuchs has extensive experience in leadership roles within various organizations, including serving as a Board Trustee for The Seeing Eye and a Director for The Philadelphia Contributionship since 2019 and 2007, respectively. Previous positions include Director at Ithaka from 1994 to 2022, Director and Treasurer at Princeton Public Library from 2004 to 2012, and Executive Director for Next Generation Learning Challenges at EDUCAUSE from 2010 to 2012. Ira Fuchs held significant positions at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation as Vice President and Program Officer from 2000 to 2010, and at Princeton University as Vice President for Computing and Information Technology from 1985 to 2000. Early career roles include Vice Chancellor for University Systems at City University of New York (CUNY) and Executive Director of the CUNY Central Computing Center. Ira Fuchs earned a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Columbia Engineering, completing studies from 1965 to 1976.
