Matt Weindel

Matt Weindel, CPCU, RPLU, ASLI, currently serves as an Account Executive at The Safegard Group since March 2024. Previously, Weindel held the position of Underwriting Director for the Primary Casualty Unit at IAT Insurance Group from May 2022 to March 2024, and served as the E&S Excess Liability Underwriting Manager at Selective Insurance from June 2018 to May 2022. Additional roles include E&S Southeast Underwriting Manager at Selective Insurance, Regional Production Specialist at AIG, and Professional Liability Underwriter at Markel Corporation. Weindel has been actively involved in various industry committees, such as the Emerging Issues and Innovation Committee for WSIA, and has extensive experience in underwriting products and managing relationships within the insurance sector. Weindel earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from New York University.
