Joy Palazzo

Joy Palazzo, JD, CRCM, serves as the President of the Board of Directors at The Samaritan Inn since January 2022. In their role as the Senior Chief Compliance Officer at Capital One since January 2016, Palazzo oversees compliance for Financial Services and Fair & Responsible Banking. Previously, Palazzo held the position of Executive Director / Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase, where Joy led implementation for significant settlements, including the National Mortgage Settlement and the RMBS Settlement. Palazzo's legal expertise was further developed as an Associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, focusing on regulatory strategy and environmental litigation. Earlier in their career, Palazzo served as a Constituent Representative for U.S. Senator Don Nickles. Palazzo earned a JD from The University of Tulsa College of Law, where Joy was recognized as the "Most Outstanding Student," and holds a BA in Communications and Political Science from Oral Roberts University, named "Outstanding Student of the Year."
