Tom Mathers

Thomas Mathers is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors at Aer Therapeutics, Inc., Thomas is focused on developing therapeutic solutions for muco-obstructive lung diseases. As the Founder, President, and CEO of Allievex Corporation, Thomas leads the creation of novel therapies for rare pediatric neurodegenerative diseases, including the investigational enzyme replacement therapy for Sanfilippo syndrome type B. Prior to these roles, Thomas held leadership positions at CoLucid Pharmaceuticals, Peptimmune, and Cell Based Delivery, among others, and also served as a VP of Strategic Development at Genzyme. Thomas began a career with the US Army as an AH-64 Attack Helicopter Pilot and Platoon Leader during Operation Desert Storm before earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
