Amelia Baxter currently serves as a Program Assistant at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) since May 2023. Prior experience includes roles such as Development Associate and Classroom Assistant at Shalom Austin, an English Literacy Tutor with Literacy First through AmeriCorps, and an Austin Housing Development Assistance VISTA Summer Associate with AmeriCorps VISTA. Amelia has also worked as an Independent Consultant for Bridging Freedom Inc., a Casework Intern with the International Rescue Committee, and in visitor services at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum. Earlier internships included positions with Danielle Irwin for Leon County Commission At Large and Carpe Global, along with a brief experience with the U.S. Department of State. Amelia holds a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs and Geography from Florida State University.
