Raquel R. Martins, PhD, currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Project Manager at The University of Sheffield, focusing on senescence and inflammation in ageing through zebrafish models. With a strong background in experimental design and analysis, Raquel has honed skills in project management, science communication, and teamwork. Prior to the current role, Raquel was a PhD Researcher and Project Manager at The University of Sheffield, and held a Research Fellow position at ISPA / IGC, where research centered on cognitive appraisal and stress response mechanisms. Educational credentials include a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology and an MSc in Neuroscience, alongside a BSc in Psychomotor Rehabilitation.
