Brian Cuevas

Brian Cuevas serves as the Director of the Office of Innovation Management at The University of Southern Mississippi, where responsibilities include advancing research, technology development, and corporate engagement while managing intellectual property and economic development. Prior experience includes a position as Manager of Innovation Field Skin and Tissue at Evonik Corporation, where Brian Cuevas established technology portfolios and managed a network for business development. Brian Cuevas also held roles as Program Manager and Technical Leader at Halyard Health, leading medical device commercialization efforts, and as Senior Research Chemist at US Surgical, focusing on the development of advanced medical devices. Brian Cuevas earned a Ph.D and MS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida, along with a BS in Polymer Science from The University of Southern Mississippi.
