Thomas Laughner currently serves as the Director of the Teaching & Learning Center and Associate Professor of Graduate Health Sciences at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center since December 2018. Prior to this role, Thomas held various positions at Smith College, including Director of Special Projects and Director of Educational Technology Services, and served as an Adjunct Professor at American International College, imparting knowledge in quantitative data analysis, organizational behavior, IT strategy, and leadership. Previous experience includes roles at the University of Notre Dame, where Thomas was Associate Director of Educational Technologies & Services, Instructor, and Acting Director of the Kaneb Center for Teaching and Learning. Early career roles took place at the University of Arizona and the University of Notre Dame as a Computer Consultant. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Andrews University, an MA in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University, and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Arizona.
