Luis Sentis

Luis Sentis is a distinguished academic in the field of aerospace and mechanical engineering, currently serving as a Professor of Aerospace Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin since January 2010, after progressing through roles as Assistant and Associate Professor. Prior to this, Luis held a postdoctoral fellowship and worked as a graduate research assistant at Stanford University from 1998 to 2009, supported by the La Caixa Fellowship. Earlier professional experience includes a position as a Controls Systems Engineer at Phase 2 Automation and an internship with the Barcelona City Council. Luis Sentis earned a PhD and an MS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stanford University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Educational background also includes foundational schooling in science and French education.
