Nida Virabalin

Nida Virabalin is an experienced professional currently serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin since January 2023, focusing on pre-stressed concrete testing and safety in engineering labs. Previous roles include an internship at SpaceX as a Tower and Launch Mount Engineer Intern, where responsibilities involved design and analysis of foundations and coordination with contractors. Nida also held positions as Head of Outreach and General Engineer in Structures at the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab, a Structural Engineer Co-op at BakerRisk, and an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin - College of Liberal Arts. Additional experience includes research assistance in Paleocore and field archaeology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Tutoring experience spans various subjects with Unity Tutors and Mathnasium. Nida is pursuing dual degrees in Civil Engineering and Anthropology at The University of Texas at Austin, expected to graduate in December 2024.
