Ed Ballard

Ed Ballard is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in climate and sustainable business reporting. Since September 2018, Ed has held multiple roles at The Wall Street Journal, including Climate newsletter editor, Bureau Chief of WSJ Pro Sustainable Business, and Senior publishing editor for WSJ Pro. Prior to this, Ed worked at Dow Jones from April 2012 to September 2018 as a news editor for Private Equity News and as a commodities reporter. Additional experience includes writing and editing for Fest Magazine, freelance writing for Telegraph Media Group, and serving as a clean energy reporter for VB/Research. Ed began a career in journalism as a news intern at Bloomberg LP. Educational credentials include a degree from The University of Edinburgh, obtained in 2010.
