Patrick Clawson

Patrick Clawson is an established expert in economics and strategic studies, currently serving as the Director for Research at The Washington Institute For Near East Policy since January 1997. Prior to this role, Patrick held the position of Research Professor at the National Defense University from January 1993 to December 1996 and was the Editor of Orbis at the Foreign Policy Research Institute from January 1989 to January 1993. Educationally, Patrick earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from the New School for Social Research between 1973 and 1979, following a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Oberlin College, completed in 1973.
