Dave Cox

Dave Cox is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and technical leadership, particularly within the defense and environmental sectors. Currently serving as a Surf Coach and Lifeguard at The Wave since April 2024, Dave previously held the position of Engineering Manager and Hydrodynamic Lead at The Ocean Cleanup, where responsibilities included leading engineering teams and defining design strategies for ocean cleanup systems. Prior experience at Babcock International Group spanned multiple roles, including Deputy Technical Manager for submarine weapon systems, overseeing high-value contracts, and managing requirement processes with a proven track record of milestone adherence. A graduate of the University of Bristol with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Dave also contributed to graduate training programs and has been actively involved in leadership and collaborative initiatives throughout their career.
