Rachel Hopson

Rachel Hopson is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the broadcasting industry. Currently serving as Director at The Weather Channel since October 2021, Rachel has previously held the same title at WeatherNation and WCCB, Charlotte's CW. Early career experiences include roles as a Production Assistant at WWAY News Channel 3 and contributions as a Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Independent Consultant, providing skincare and beauty products. Additionally, Rachel supported sports marketing initiatives at UNC Wilmington and worked as a Student Fundraiser for RuffaloCODY. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies and Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and participated in a study abroad program focused on Italian Studies at CEA Global Campus in Florence, Italy.
