As the former CEO and current co-chair of the Monrovia Nursery Company’s Board of Directors, Miles Rosedale appreciates the role of plants in our world. Founded in 1926, the nursery has grown into an internationally respected company that has introduced many improved varieties of plants and maintains growing grounds in the four corners of the United States. Miles holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California.
Miles has described Webb as a “significant part of my life.” Miles has served in almost every capacity on campus: he was a member of the Board of Trustees for 30 years, from 1985 to 2005; and again, from 2007 to 2018, and has recently returned to Webb’s Board.
From 1993 to 2000, Miles was chairman of the board, seeing the schools through the Building Character Campaign, which, at the time, raised the most money ever for Webb – $21 million, surpassing the schools’ original goal by $3 million. He was also a generous supporter of the Fulfilling Our Promise Campaign that followed. In addition, he has served as director of the Alumni Association and as a member of the Board of Governors.
