Ben Rawlingson-Plant has worked in the arts and culture sector for over 25 years. Ben started their career as an intern at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, before moving to London to work as an Office Assistant at Miramax Film Corporation. Ben then took on the role of Assistant Press Officer at the Edinburgh International Festival, before moving into the gallery sector as Press Officer at the National Portrait Gallery and Dulwich Picture Gallery. In 1999 they joined Tate as Senior Press Officer, where they worked until 2000.
In 2001 they co-founded Brunswick Arts Consulting LLP, an arts consultancy based in London, where they were Managing Partner for 19 years. During this time they worked with a range of clients on projects including Arts Council England, the British Museum and the Royal Academy of Arts. Ben also sat on the Advisory Board of The World Around, a global think tank for the arts, from 2017-2019.
In 2020 they joined the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation as a Crisis Specialist, working on their response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Ben is currently an Advisory Board Member at The World Around.
Ben Rawlingson-Plant completed a Master of Arts in Art Ben'story, Criticism and Conservation at the University of St Andrews.
