Matthew Penn

Matthew Penn is an experienced data scientist specializing in football analytics. Currently serving as the England Men's Insights Data Scientist at The Football Association, Matthew previously worked as a Data Scientist and Data Analyst for Como 1907, where statistical models contributed to the club's promotion to Serie A in May 2024. Additionally, Matthew consulted for Solihull Moors Football Club, developing a web application pivotal in their FA Trophy and National League Playoff Finals run, and for Oxford City Football Club, aiding in their historic promotion to the National League. At Oxford United Football Club, Matthew's automated workflows and advanced statistical modeling supported the team's promotion to the Championship in May 2024.
