Emily launched Amazon Care’s marketing program from ground-up. Amazon Care is an app that enables users to connect with doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses virtually, 24 hours a day, via in-app chat or video. The services go beyond urgent care to include lifestyle and wellness coaching, sleep care, and preventative services such as immunizations, including pediatric vaccinations and COVID-19 vaccinations for those who are eligible. With a team of two, she built the marketing infrastructure, launched digital campaigns, and ran social media and email initiatives for this telemedicine program available to employers nationwide.
In 2014, Emily also founded the Women in Tech Campaign for All Women in Tech to raise awareness of the need for inclusion in technology. And she continues to oversee Women in Tech Campaign boasting over 100 women members from eight different countries. Emily designs and manages all online and offline events, including #TechisMore 100% digital events; targeted and acquired sponsorships from AOL, Mapbox, Nokia, and Cisco; and Inclusion Events, an in-person event series currently in New York City, Chicago and Washington, DC, that gives high-school students the training and skills to lead a conversation around diversity in tech.
