Tawona K Kwaramba

Tawona K Kwaramba is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience in drill and blast operations and project management. Currently serving as Principal Engineer - Global Drill and Blast at Thiess since August 2015, Kwaramba focuses on enhancing organizational capability, maximizing the value of blasting activities, and improving operational performance. Previous roles include Senior Mining Engineer positions at BHP Billiton, where responsibilities spanned pit optimization and supervision of drilling and blasting activities, as well as a Drill and Blast Engineer position at Newmont Mining Corporation. Kwaramba has also led teams at Kega Engineering and Dyno Nobel, gaining expertise in business development and technical support for explosives. Kwaramba holds an MBA from the Zimbabwe Open University and a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering Honours from the University of Zimbabwe.
