Alan Kanybek

Alan Kanybek is a Structural Engineer at Thornton Tomasetti since October 2020, bringing experience from Gessner Engineering, LLC, where Alan served as an EIT in 2018. During the time at Gessner Engineering, Alan designed and drafted structural foundation and framing plans for over 40 residential and commercial projects while on Optional Practical Training (OPT). Alan earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 2017, following a high school diploma from Saint Johnsbury Academy in 2014.
