Alex Toomey

Alex Toomey is currently an Instructor at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University, focusing on course development for graduate-level professional skills. As a Career & Placement Coach for Thrive Scholars, Alex organizes programs to support high-achieving students of color in consulting careers and builds relationships with corporate partners. Previous roles include Director of Career Management & Corporate Relations at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, where Alex enhanced MBA career services and organized conferences. Other experiences include facilitating self-assessment programs, providing comprehensive career services, and managing employer relations across several institutions. Alex holds a Bachelor of Specialized Studies in Political Science and Sociology from Ohio University and a Master of Arts in Education from The University of Akron.
